Gas Works

Affecting Gracechurch Street by London Bridge

Cadent have decided that a full replacement of the gas main at Gracechurch Street by London Bridge is required. Replacing the old, failing gas main will be undertaken in three phases through to September 2018.

  • Gracechurch Street and London Bridge closed northbound.
  • Cannon Street and Eastcheap closed eastbound.
  • King William Street closed southbound from Bank Junction to London Bridge.

This first phase will start on Sunday 22nd April and last until early June 2018. A works embargo has been put in place on all other major streets in the area, the partial reopening of Bank Junction will remain in place and we continue to work with TfL on traffic signal timings in the area. For further information please go to City of London dedicated page or the Cadent Community Relations Team at info@communityrelations.co.uk

Affecting Bank Junction experimental scheme

Bank Junction has been temporarily re-opened to motor vehicles travelling eastbound on Queen Victoria Street to Threadneedle, Cornhill and King William Street ONLY. All other restrictions at Bank Junction are in place between 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday.
